Brian M. Latuga is a skilled trial attorney who is well-versed in a variety of fields to meet your legal needs. Brian was a Police Officer for over 8 years. He served in multiple capacities such as Community Policing Units that focused on narcotic and firearm interdiction. The last three years of his career were dedicated to the Virginia Beach Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit - where he specialized solely in DUI and Drunk Driving enforcement, and Serious Crash Investigations.
Brian attended Regent University School of Law and graduated 2nd in his class with Summa Cum Laude honors. He attended the majority of law school while employed full-time with the VBPD. Before his policing career, he earned his Bachelors in Chemistry from James Madison University. He also served as a Deputy Chief of the Harrisonburg Rescue Squad and maintained and utilized an EMT-Intermediate Certification (Medic).
As a former Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach (Prosecutor), he honed his skills as a trial attorney. In both judge and jury trials he has litigated nearly every kind of criminal case from Larceny to Murder.
Brian is active in his community, enjoys long distance backpacking, competes in various sporting events, and is a certified PADI Divemaster and NSS-CDS Cave Diver.
